May is Food Allergy Awareness Month, and what better way to highlight the important issue of food allergy than to literally shine a light on it? The colour of our cause is teal, and this week (week of May 15th) , monuments across Canada basked in teal light to raise awareness of food allergy.
With 1-in-13 Canadians managing at least one food allergy, these illuminations are not merely visual displays, but symbolic reminders of the need to work together to learn more about food allergy and strive to accommodate it across the nation.
