Share with teachers: All About Food Allergy student program
All About Food Allergy is a free, medically-reviewed, curriculum-linked program that gives students the knowledge and skills to help keep themselves and others safe and healthy.
When classrooms include food allergy in their discussions, students learn what the condition is, how reactions can be prevented, and—most importantly—how they can foster inclusivity and support classmates living with food allergy.

Tips for the fall season

Epinephrine device re-check

As we head into fall, it’s a perfect time to do a quick expiry check on your epinephrine devices. It’s also a great opportunity to review the instructions so you and your children feel prepared and confident in using it.
Find these tips and more in our handy one-page epinephrine sheet.
Get ready with training for all devices

With Health Canada’s recent approval of neffy® epinephrine nasal spray for treating anaphylaxis, there are two epinephrine device options in Canada: neffy® and EpiPen®.
You can get familiar with how to use both devices by watching our recent webinar where Dr. Julia Upton did a demonstration. You can also order EpiPen training devices and watch step-by-step videos on how to use EpiPen and neffy.
Update your allergy management materials with the new Anaphylaxis Action Plan

We are excited to introduce our new Anaphylaxis Action Plan, a refreshed and user-friendly resource designed to share with schools, caregivers, and any public settings.
The Anaphylaxis Action Plan includes a person’s allergies, symptoms of anaphylaxis, and the emergency steps to follow in the event of a reaction.
The new plan replaces our previous Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan and continues to provide the critical information needed during anaphylaxis. The form is fillable, making it easy to download, complete, save, and share.
As you prepare for the upcoming school year or update your current allergy management materials, be sure to replace any older versions of the Anaphylaxis Emergency Plan with the new Anaphylaxis Action Plan.
Stay prepared this pollen season
Ragweed and mugwort pollen are common causes of fall pollen allergies. If you have itching or tingling in your throat after eating certain fresh fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, and spices, it might be pollen food allergy syndrome (PFAS), also known as oral allergy syndrome (OAS). Learn more below.
Watch our webinar on PFAS with Dr. Anne Ellis. You’ll learn about diagnosis, management, and treatment of PFAS including the role of antihistamines.
Check out our PFAS page to discover helpful insights, resources, and ways to manage it with confidence.
