Webinar: Food allergy prevention: What parents need to know

October 28 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

Can you reduce your baby’s chance of developing a food allergy? Join us to learn what the latest research and guidance from allergists tells us about food allergy prevention and early interventions.

This session is for parents and parents-to-be, as well as healthcare providers who support families during the pre-natal and post-natal periods, including those working in primary care, maternal and child health, and infant feeding.

You’ll learn practical, evidence-based approaches to reducing food allergy risk, introducing allergenic foods, recognizing and responding to reactions, and what early treatment may look like if a food allergy develops.

Here are the details:

What the webinar is about:

• The latest research and guidance on preventing food allergy, including the role of early introduction of allergenic foods
• What we know about preventing cow’s milk allergy, including why feeding practices in the first few days of life may matter
• How and when to introduce common allergenic foods and what to consider when introducing them
• How to recognize a possible allergic reaction and what to do if a reaction occurs
• What early treatment means and how it may help stop the food allergy from developing

The session will conclude with a live Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask your questions. You can also submit questions in advance when you register.
